At Aureus University School of Medicine, a Medical University in Aruba and one of the best Caribbean medical schools, we are committed to making medical education accessible through various financial aid options. Whether you are looking to join our esteemed Caribbean MD program or seeking one of the best medical schools in the Caribbean, here’s how we can help support your educational journey.
Aureus offers five individually sponsored scholarships to exceptional students who demonstrate academic excellence and a strong commitment to the field of medicine. Eligible candidates must hold a bachelor’s degree in science and boast a GPA of 3.0 or higher. Scholarship recipients are expected to maintain a final-average grade of A or B throughout each semester at Aureus. Scholarships range from $2,500 to $10,000, providing substantial support to our students. Applicants are encouraged to include a supportive paragraph with their application detailing why they are deserving of this financial aid.
For exceptional students who exceed academic expectations, Aureus provides a unique loan program. Eligibility requires a science bachelor’s degree with a minimum GPA of 3.2. The top ten qualifying students may receive a four-year tuition loan totaling $80,445, requiring a co-borrower’s agreement. This loan program is designed to support students who consistently achieve a 90th percentile final-average each semester.
While Aureus is a relatively young institution, our management, board, and experienced faculty work diligently to assist students with their financial needs. Although federally subsidized loans from the United States are not available, we facilitate access to private loans from banks and lending institutions, which typically require a co-signer. We partner with TFC Tuition Funding Corporation to offer loans to eligible students.
Furthermore, Aureus University participates in the RESP (Registered Education Savings Plan) and CESP (Canada Education Savings Program), both backed by the Canadian government. Ontario residents may also be eligible for the OSAP (Ontario Student Assistance Program), enhancing options for Canadian students.
For veterans, Aureus University supports the use of GI Bill benefits and the VA Education Program, helping U.S. veterans cover a significant portion of their tuition costs and pursue a career in medicine.
At Aureus University School of Medicine, we strive to provide you with the financial tools and support necessary to succeed in your medical education and beyond. Our dedicated staff at the Canadian Office is ready to guide you through the financial aid process and ensure you find the best options to fund your education.
