We evaluate scholastic record, demeanor, communication skills, language proficiency, and commitment.

Comprehensive Documentation

Personal Essay highlighting volunteer/community service, plus 2 Letters of Recommendation.

Step 3

Premedical Requirements

4-Year MD: 1 yr General Biology/Zoology, 1 yr General Chemistry, 1 yr Organic Chemistry. Recommended: Physics, English, Math, Humanities/Social Sciences.

Step 4

Transfer Students

Accepted from accredited medical schools, subject to transcript evaluation.

5-Year MD Program

  • Pre-Med Year (48 weeks): Biology, General & Organic Chemistry, Physics, Mathematics, English, Medical Terminology, Introductory Anatomy, Histology, Physiology and Medical Psychology.
  • Years 2–3 · Basic Sciences: Identical organ-system MD1–MD5 curriculum delivered on the Aruba campus.

Student Visa

Aureus recommends obtaining a student visa, even though entry to Aruba is possible with a valid passport or green card. The process can be initiated before or after arrival, with support from the Aureus admissions office.

Required documents for DIMAS

  • Copies of all passport pages
  • Original and notarized copy of the birth certificate
  • Health certificate from a family doctor (bloodwork not required)
  • Declaration of finances for study and living expenses by parent / student
  • Notarized record of good conduct from the local police department
  • Police clearance certificate
